DOUGH REVIEWED
“Dough” is a lovely film about how an old baker teaches his trade to a young man. Watching the Jewish baker and his Muslim friend come together in the pursuit of getting people high through baked goods…it warmed my heart. It’s an upscale British comedy about socio-political issues. But, it’s handled in a way that never pushes you past the fact that it’s a sly drug comedy. Pauline Collins shows up to remind the world that she’s still alive. You can still catch this on the arthouse circuit if you’re lucky, but most would be wise to wait for home video.
