These are the movies that happen when you limit Mickey Rourke's choices.
“Blunt Force Trauma” is about the seedy gun culture of South America. Mercenaries pay locals to slap on bulletproof vests and shoot each other. If the vest passes the test, it gets sold and the local paid. Now, two outsiders are pulled into the mix, as they try to avenge past crimes. Mickey Rourke plays the villain, as he continues to melt into a modern day Preston Payne.
Ryan Kwanten and Freida Pinto have a smidge of chemistry. That being said, it’s not enough to save the movie. The A/V Quality is stable for standard definition. What’s weird is that I couldn’t get a correct bead on the aspect ratio for the movie. In the end, I’d recommend a rental to the super curious.
