THE BIBLE STORIES: JACOB REVIEWED
“Jacob” follows the story of Jacob’s rise to grace with his Uncle Laban. While Laban would set up Jacob in a false marriage to the lovely Rachel, Jacob would learn how to deal with adversity. What makes this entry so great is that for a three hour run time, the film keeps the action going. The seven years of labor and how Jacob deals with his botched marriage to Rachel creates a story that I’ve yet to see in these outings. Plus, who knew that Matthew Modine could be this great of an actor? Entertaining to all and could serve as a nice family conversation piece during the Holidays.
