A Cinderella Story: Starstruck is the latest in the Cinderella Story series. Bailee Madison is a small town girl trying to make it big. So she crashes onto a Hollywood film set shooting near her town and captures the attention of the lead actor. She acts like she has experience as a cowgirl, but is scared people will figure her out. Something something about an evil stepmother and stepsiblings and you’ve got a kid movie. So, what’s the deal?

Horses and rural themes seem to be fodder for movies made for little girls. They all like to see a quiet story about things they can process and enjoy. The same goes for little boys and martial arts space operas. People like what they like, but the majority of A Cinderella Story Starstruck is almost a Mad Libs of crafting quick entertainment for a certain viewer set. There is nothing wrong with that, just don’t expect older people to hang with it.

Cinderella Story Starstruck DVD Boxart 2

The DVD comes with featurettes as the special features. The A/V Quality is strong enough for a recent production. My problem with all of this is that I could have used a featurette explaining the nature of the series to me. Oh well, pick it up for your kids.

A Cinderella Story: Starstruck is available on DVD from Warner Brothers
