MARK HAMILL’S POP CULTURE QUEST

MARK HAMILL’S POP CULTURE QUEST REVIEWED

“Mark Hamill’s Pop Culture Quest” speaks to me. Luke Skywalker is indulging in several of my pop culture favorites in a way that doesn’t evoke the geek awfulness of the Kevin Smith reality based stuff. Whether it’s movies, comics, sneakers or props…Hamill finds a way to make every bit of pop culture sing. The episodes play at a short 15 minutes. However, I feel that it’s enough time to convey enthusiasm without becoming a meandering History Channel style show.

What’s incredibly fascinating about the show is Hamill’s ability to host. I feel that the once and future Skywalker should earnestly consider tackling more of these opportunities. He never loses the audience, plus he knows how to control a narrative. Just imagine him doing a series of lectures about something he loves. His speaking tours he’s done at Oxford and points beyond are brilliant. Amazing stuff all around and you should use the Holidays to catch up with the show over at Comic Con HQ.
