THE TITANIC: THE EPIC MINISERIES EVENT REVIEWED
“The Titanic” is 3 hours of boat melodrama. Did you think that the Cameron movie was overlong and trite? Well, you’ll thrill to the same shenanigans with Tim Curry and a young Catherine Zeta-Jones. George C. Scott attempts to bring an air of class to the proceedings, but it doesn’t work. So much of the film wears its TV-movie origins on its sleeve. But, I guess it works. While I should’ve remembered this airing, the only time it comes up is in trivia. There’s nothing memorable here, but it’s worth a viewing.
