This family-friendly holiday movie will premiere in select theaters and on all major digital platforms starting November 7th, with a DVD release on November 19th from Notorious Pictures and Riverstone Pictures, distributed by Shout! Directed by Peter Chelsom (Serendipity, The Space Between Us), A Sudden Case of Christmas promises to be a heartwarming journey set against the stunning backdrop of the Dolomite Mountain range in Italy. The film follows an American couple (Lucy DeVito and Wilmer Valderrama) as they take their daughter Claire (Antonella Rose) to visit her grandfather Lawrence (Danny DeVito) at his grand hotel.
With the intent of revealing their plans to separate, the couple’s announcement is delayed when Claire insists on celebrating Christmas in August to bring the family together. What ensues is a whirlwind of laughter, secrets, and heartwarming surprises as Claire’s other grandparents (Andie MacDowell and José Zúñiga) arrive to join the festivities.
With a star-studded cast that also includes Adrian Dunbar, Mario de la Rosa, and Valeria Cavalli, A Sudden Case of Christmas explores the joys of love, family, and tradition with plenty of laughs and heartfelt moments.
