“Another Glorious Decade” is not sanctioned by Van Morrison, so that means no new interviews. What we do get is a hard look at the artist between 1977-1987. Most of these albums covered are minor hits and nothing that really blew up the mainstream. But, there seems to be an effort to make a connection to Scientology during the early 80s. The connection feels forced, so I guess that is what makes this an unauthorized documentary.
Still, there’s heavy coverage during the Last Waltz period which is a personal favorite. What kills me though is that I wish a far more prolific artist got this kind of coverage. The DVD comes with interviews and brief bios as the special features. The A/V Quality is sharp with a Dolby 2.0 surround track and a clean standard definition transfer. I’d recommend a purchase to fans.
