STREETS OF VENGEANCE REVIEWED
“Streets of Vengeance” is the latest from Olive’s Slasher Video imprint. The film is about a cult of Men’s Rights activists hunting down strippers, porn stars and sex workers. After the ladies of the night get tired of being ignored and left to die, they team up for justice. I love how nerd film culture is rediscovering more subgenres from the 70s and 80s. It’s just that why can’t they pick up on the power of anthology?
I mean that not every story has enough meat to be a full-length tale. How’s about trimming up a movie like this and making a Streets of Vengeance anthology that tackles 3 movies of 30 minutes length? Slap on a wrap-around story and have more men getting murdered by those they wronged. Also, I wish Ginger Lynn had more to do. She gets this small role, but it’s never enough to be prominent.
If you’re a special features nerd, you’re going to love how much extra material was available for a film like this. Given that Olive is releasing it, I was stunned to actually see any special features. Check it out!
