NYPD BLUE REVIEWED
“NYPD Blue” enters Season 9 feeling like it had been on the air for 3 seasons too many. Mark-Paul Gosselaar joined this year to help keep the cast young and seemingly relevant in a then-recent 911 world. While the terror attacks on NYC were included into the material clumsily, it became damn apparent that only Dennis Franz was capable of keeping the show on track. Still, it suffered from what plagued a lot of “Hill Street Blues” at the end of its life. All plots broke down one of three ways and they had been doing that for a few seasons now. Still, the whole deal with the crucifixions were pretty brutal.
