THE PLOT THUS FAR
There’s a Pony for every season and an episode for every Pony in this fantastic collection of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. That’s right! Each member of the Mane 6 (Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Apple Jack and Pinkie Pie) gets her very own opportunity to shine with six episodes guaranteed to have you laughing and singing as you discover the magic of friendship!
WHAT WE THOUGHT
“A Pony for Every Season” is the latest release from the Friendship is Magic sect of My Little Pony. Over six episodes, you’ll slowly ask yourself why Bronies are a thing. Most of the episodes are solo spotlights, but we get Pony interaction. That must be a thing for children and adult males. Honestly, it’s a charming show, but the premise is wearing thin. When do we get that television movie where their leader dies and Derpy Pony becomes their new Judeo Christian paternal figure of choice?
The DVD comes with a sing-along as the only special feature. The A/V Quality is strong with a supportive transfer and a Dolby audio track. The Dolby track doesn’t get much back channel action outside of the few major action scenes. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to parents of young kids.
