Vincent D’Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe are back as Detectives Goren and Eames for the final riveting season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Year Ten marks the return of the franchise’s heart and soul. After a lengthy departure from duty, Goren returns to the Major Case Squad attached to a sentence of mandated therapy by the department. Nevertheless, Goren and Eames are as effective as ever in exposing some of New York’s most high-profile and diabolical criminals. When the stakes are highest, the Major Case Squad gets the call. These are their stories.
WHAT WE THOUGHT
Vincent D’Onofrio was so good on this show. However, most Law and Order material hits a point of saturation. How many times can we watch cop and legal shows? There’s recycling material and then just lazily grabbing any story out of the paper and trying to splice it together. But, this show always succeeded on the strength of its actors. The powers that be should be glad that they were able to get a decade out of a second tier spin-off.
The DVD comes with no special features. The A/V Quality is strong with a supportive transfer and a Dolby audio track. The Dolby track doesn’t get much back channel action outside of the few major action scenes. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to fans.
