Musicares puts on these lovely tributes to artists and it’s like they don’t think through who they are tackling. That’s not a bad thing, as they put together odd assortments of artists to tackle King’s music. The result produces killer covers like we get from Zac Brown, Sara Bareilles, Jennifer Nettles and Martina McBride. Hell, I thought the reliance on female country performers was intriguing. Over the course of the hour, everyone will find something they like.
While I’m loving these annual releases, I realize that the fan appeal is limited. I guess we have to wait for a bigger artist to bring out the best in the populace. Meh. The A/V Quality sports a sharp 1080p transfer and DTS-HD 5.1 master audio track. The Blu-Ray comes with no special features.
