Eureka Entertainment is unveiling MABUSE LIVES! DR MABUSE AT CCC: 1960–196, a limited-edition Blu-ray set that collects six crime thrillers devoted to the notorious Dr Mabuse. Landing in North America on April 1, 2025, this special Masters of Cinema edition comes as a 2000-copy boxed set, complete with a hardbound slipcase and collector’s book.
Dr Mabuse was introduced to filmgoers by Fritz Lang in the silent era. Decades later, Artur Brauner’s CCC Film renewed the supervillain’s reign of terror in a series of movies shot between 1960 and 1964. Wolfgang Preiss anchors each film in the iconic role, spanning international plots and pseudo-supernatural twists. From Fritz Lang’s final picture, The Thousand Eyes of Dr Mabuse, to the destructive ambition found in The Death Ray of Dr Mabuse, these tales capture Germany’s love for krimis (crime thrillers).
