“The Woman Behind Little Women” is a slightly older docudrama about Louisa May Alcott. Over the course of 84 minutes, you get the basic facts about the woman and context for the creation of her books. Elizabeth Marvel and Jane Alexander are stunning in their work showcasing Alcott’s process. It’s just that the material feels like it was cut for an educational environment. The DVD comes with extended interviews, a poem recitation and a Q&A with the talent involved as the special features.
