HAVEN REVIEWED
“Haven” had such world building and intriguing mystery. But, it was almost impenetrable to new viewers. Taking the best aspects of the source material crafted by Stephen King, the Haven showrunners went further than even King could imagine. There’s something about FBI Agent Parker and her 27 year cycles that evokes the best elements of “Lost”. But, where “Under the Dome” and similar King ilk failed is where “Haven” survived and thrived.
Building to a natural end of question answering and solving the problem of Haven, I’m left a little disappointed. I still enjoyed the show, as it was the only thing left on SyFy that I’d watch. If you’re a fan, I’d recommend pouring through the commentaries after you finish the show. I had a few lingering questions answered there, plus it’s fun to hear a crew comment on a job well done. Satisfying work all around.
