DIVERGENT SERIES: ALLEGIANT – PART 1 REVIEWED
“Allegiant” is the flashpoint for the end of YA Dystopian fiction adaptations. While the source novels barely worked as text, they utterly poo onscreen as films. Tris is the most vapid of the YA leads of a dark future. A dark future where the world is destroyed, but tech is plentiful at 30th Century standards. What time is it? What really matters to the citizens? Who cares, as long as hero girl gets the guy and gets to feel important? They barely had enough material for one film, yet alone splitting it into two installments. Thankfully, the box office on this one guarantees that the next installment is the final one.
