“Convergence” plays like a low-rent Shutter Island. While I find that kind of pulp to be fun, the second act drags like hell. If you’re looking for metaphorical use of life and death to be hammered over your head, then this is for you. If that stuff annoys you, I’d recommend passing. Otherwise, I’m going to have to listen to a ton of readers complaining about the movie.
The Blu-Ray comes with a featurette, trailer, deleted and extended scenes as the special features. The A/V Quality is pretty sharp for an indie horror flick. The dark levels balance well throughout the 1080p transfer. Plus, the DTS-HD 5.1 master audio track pops across all channels. Basically, I’d recommend it as a rental.
