Chris Evans makes a solid directorial debut.
“Before We Go” is an amazing directorial debut for Chris Evans. While it owes its nature to Linklater and others, the film tries its hardest to make us buy an honest relationship. Watching two broken people come together over a chance encounter is charming. It doesn’t matter if they come together, but that they get this moment to form a connection. Naturally, this will bore half of the AV audience.
For the half that can keep up with adult cinema, I’ll have to say that Captain America can direct. But, it’s not a challenging film. It’s two pretty people finding love in a scenario that has been replayed to death on film. There is no challenge other than can they/will they have the indecency to bone in public. Sadly, that never happened. The Blu-Ray comes with a featurette as the sole special feature. The A/V Quality is rather strong, but never overpowers the story. Even with that stellar DTS-HD 5.1 master audio track.
