THE ROAD CHIP REVIEWED
“The Road Chip” is the fourth Alvin and the Chipmunks live-action film. Some might answer why this property has become a franchise. I attribute that to the lack of an existing deity and the fact that kids will given any piece of garbage a chance. The series seems to have lost steam, as how many plots can we put to singing rodents? All we’re getting is a jukebox kiddie musical that goes nowhere. It’s embarrassing to see Jason Lee and Tony Hale have to work through this, but contracts are contracts. Also, what hell was up with John Waters showing up? I’ve watched the film three times now and that little oddity is the only thing that makes the movie bearable.
