ALBERT UP, UP AND AWAY REVIEWED
“Albert: Up, Up and Away” is a lovely tale about a child born to mess things up. The townspeople hate the infant and he grows up to be a depressed kid. Naturally, he finds a balloon and decides to leave to see the world. Albert kidnaps a few kids and they set off to have fun. But, an adult captures their vehicle and makes them take part in a heist. What’s a kid to do? Well, certain parts of the country would see the kid getting shot by a cop.
But, this is a rather fun CG kiddie movie about following your dreams and being an accessory to a jewel heist. The film feels like an obvious dub job, but it held my daughter’s attention. I’m not sure if that’s a positive anymore, as she’s watching way more stuff. She wants to see “Keanu” now, so I guess Albert might be out of her interests. If your kids need a quick burn of a film that’s non-threatening, then this will do.
