“Eat with Me” is about two Asian American family movies coming together, as their lives seem to be falling apart. Elliot is about to lose his restaurant, while trying to find a new boyfriend. His mother Emma still doesn’t dig that her son is gay, but she needs a place to live. As their lives intersect in the Bay Area, the two start to examine what drove them apart. For a LBQT movie, the film breaks through most cliches and starts to play for emotional appeal. The DVD comes with a featurette, outtakes and a trailer as the special features.
