Gutterballs arrived 10 years ago and now it’s time to get a wider audience to discover the film. After a brutal rape ruins the fun at a local bowling alley, a late night bowling event is targeted by a series of gory murders. Who will end up surviving the wrath of the bowling gloved killer? Many won’t care, but I dig the brutality.
Unearthed Films keeps finding all of these movies that I’ve heard about, but never took the time to watch. Listening to the Director’s commentary made sense of how they shot a lot of it. Oh, I’m not talking about the film. Well, let’s make sense of it.
Gutterballs is a movie about a sex crime leading to a series of bowling alley deaths. That’s the beauty of exploitation genre movies. They were their plot on their sleeve. Check it out if you dig that sort of thing.
The Blu-ray arrives from MVD and Unearthed stacked to the brim. You get a commentary, featurettes, photo gallery and all sorts of goodness. Plus, the A/V Quality holds up for such an indie film. Will it compare to what you’re watching from major studios? No, but it’s bowling perfect in its own league.
