Warden comes to Digital on March 14th

Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, proudly announces the acquisition of North American rights to the docu-style sci-fi superhero feature WARDEN. The film will be available to rent or own on all North American digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms, as well as on DVD, starting March 14, 2025.

What is Warden?

WARDEN explores the extraordinary journey of an ordinary kid who discovers he has superpowers and decides he can save his ailing city. Presented in a faux documentary style, the film examines the real-world impact of a superhero’s emergence—from the adoration and faith of the public to the hidden dangers that arise when society elevates its heroes. Unlike traditional superhero tales, WARDEN delves into the diverse reactions of those who love him, those who exploit him, those who oppose him, and those who seek the truth amidst the chaos.

First introduced at Comic-Con Experience in São Paulo—the largest Comic-Con in the Americas—WARDEN generated strong early buzz and marks the feature film debut of emerging director Marcus Alqueres. Known for his viral short film THE FLYING MAN, which garnered over 25 million views and attracted major industry attention, Alqueres brings his bold, independent filmmaking approach to this new project. Developed by Lucasfilm veteran Steve Tzirlin and Jeff Juhasz, WARDEN is produced on a shoestring budget yet delivers uncompromised creative vision and storytelling.

Mark your calendars for March 14, 2025, and prepare to experience a new kind of hero in a film that dares to challenge our deepest beliefs about power, sacrifice, and what it means to be truly heroic.
