“5 to 7” is yet another story about a lonely single guy trying to box out of his weight class. Basically, he’s an unemployable loser that wants to woo the wife of a French ambassador. She falls for the guy since this is a movie and they have a whirlwind time. A film about 2 hour trysts of banging shouldn’t be this entertaining, but I’ll give the credit to the stellar cast. It also doesn’t hurt that Berenice Marlohe and Anton Yelchin play well off each other.
The DVD comes with a featurette and trailer as the special features. The A/V Quality is sharp for standard definition. The transfer sports zero signs of noise and the Dolby 5.1 track supports all channels. Still, it’s a romantic comedy that’s not going to blow up your home theater. In the end, I’d recommend a purchase to the curious.
