“20 Halloween Stories” is the latest compilation from Scholastic. You get the familiar Sendak tale to start things off. But, the rest of the shorts are animation covering ethnic tales of the supernatural and newer spooky kid classics. I love the effort to branch out by Scholastic, but I’d have to see how it plays with a bigger kid audience. I’m starting to think that all my kid wants is a cup of coffee, the Journal and Frontline on repeat. The DVD comes with no special features.
