THE WHITE PRINCESS REVIEWED
“The White Princess” proves that Phillipa Gregory’s work has just been “The Other Boleyn Girl” told at different points in British history. While The White Queen and Princess followed the War of the Roses and its immediate aftermath, something feels wrong here. For as bold as they might want to make Elizabeth of York, she was still a woman from a losing family. Henry VII wanted a son and she provided. It’s just that the film/mini-series takes a ton of liberties with what would’ve happened. Modern sensibilities can ruin anything.
