WHAT WE STARTED REVIEWED
“What We Started” follows the rise of Martin Garrix and the farewell tour of Carl Cox. After watching this documentary, the names still mean nothing to me. EDM has its following, but there is absolutely zero there that pops for me. I felt like I was 90 waiting for names from the scene that I recognize. Was that Paul Oakenfold? No, it wasn’t. But, there was Moby, Ed Sheeran and David Guetta. Those guys showed up and offered some interview cred.
I’m loving the musical documentaries that Abramorama has been springing on us these past few years. However, this one might as well have been made in Esperanto.
