We, The Marines takes viewers through a brief history of the USMC and then into what they’re doing today. Gene Hackman comes out of retirement to narrate an unforgettable 4K look at what it means to be in the Corps. Gene Hackman was such the right choice to narrate, as he provides the right gravitas to even the smallest of moments. The film appears to have been shot for IMAX screens, but I can’t remember any IMAX showings for this one. Still, it seems like it would have made sense to release it closer to Veterans’ or Memorial Day. Oh well, it still has one of the best 4K transfers and Atmos tracks of 2018.
