The Vanishing is a fascinating look at how a handful of men handle a chest full of gold showing up on their doorstep. After they make a decision about what to do with the gold, it’s not long before everything goes crazy. I’m enjoying the hell out of Gerard Butler‘s efforts to break out of the action hero mold. That being said, nothing appearing here is going to break your mental banks. Give it a shot for a fun afternoon viewing.
Other than that, I recommend casually picking up another Gerard Butler movie. Not Hunter Killer. Never Hunter Killer.
