SOUTH PARK: THE COMPLETE NINETEENTH SEASON REVIEWED
“South Park” was so stunning and brave in Season 19. By introducing PC Principal, the show finally checked its privilege and opened the concept of safe spaces to a new generation. Randy decides to be brave and become PC. Then, he gentrifies South Park and destroys the poorer habitats. But, it doesn’t matter. As long as South Park knows about native advertising, the better things will prevail.
The nineteenth season of South Park keeps up the season long narrative. Honestly, it’s not that hard as the show is only on for 10 episodes a year now. Yeah, we’re getting a second game, but come on! I needed to hear Lesley being told to sit down and shut up. I wanted to have more Barbrady fighting ninjas. The Yelp review episode was like a microcosm focusing sharply on the rise of the speculator consumer advocate.
Parker and Stone will never get the praise they are due. What they have done for American comedy has forever changed things, but the best satirists do that. What I’m loving is the sheer amount of people that don’t get the PC Principal joke. But, I guess I should check my privilege there and not Favre clap.
