ONE MORE TIME REVIEWED
“One More Time” is a weepy melodrama about a father and daughter reuniting after years apart. The daughter is a wannabe punk/busker that drops in on her crooner dad when the mood strikes. The punk kid has troubles with her father and sister, but she wants to put forth the best effort to make it work. Christopher Walken blows everyone else off the map, as he tries to mine the scraps that the role provides him. You feel like Walken has lived a full life in a world that is alien to the one that the film tries to create. I don’t mean that in a Walken’s weird sort of way, it’s just that he really brought his A-game to the role. All of this is rather frustrating for a film that has echoes of being something far greater.
