THE OATH REVIEWED
“The Oath” follows a man trying to rescue his daughter from her abusive boyfriend. While a ton of other stuff happens, let’s be honest. It’s two hours of a man meditating on violence while trying to rescue his kid. Anything else is just set dressing. I don’t know why it took two hours to get here, but that’s my ultimate takeaway. If you’re a fan of this kind of Nordic melodrama, then check it out. Otherwise, skip it. It’s not going to be a movie that wins everyone over.
