Fran Drescher keeps cashing checks in the 1990s.
“The Nanny: Season Five” almost seems like the point where CBS clicked on auto pilot. I say almost because I feel that CBS has been running on auto pilot since the mid 1980s. The 1990s were spent with sitcoms like this, as annoying lead women and put-on men made for laughter. This degree of laughter usually meant forced celebrity cameos and tolerance of annoying children. The DVD comes with no special features.
