"HAPPYish" is another TV show where 40 year olds whine.
“HAPPYish” arrives with a first season that fails to make any impact. Coogan is too smarmy to play the lead, as we have to buy that he’s making a discovery in his mid life. However, it just feels like an over medicated whiner getting a chance to bitch about his world. We just got away from its spiritual cousin Californication and I don’t want a return to the same. Could it recover in a second year? Maybe. I’m just not hanging around for it. The DVD comes with no special features.
