FUNHOUSE MASSACRE REVIEWED
“The Funhouse Massacre” follows a bunch of psychos being dumped into a funhouse. Robert Englund shows up for a cameo, but the movie belongs to Jere Burns. Burns elevates the material over being a Rob Zombie knock-off. The gore and special kills are inventive, but the plot is so threadbare. Well, the young people survive the funhouse and the assorted horror movie celebs playing psychos? It doesn’t matter, as the movie exists on a purely visceral front. Gotta love the carnage and embrace a horror film that exists just to scare. America used to have more of these movies and we were a better country for it.
