FINDING YOUR ROOTS REVIEWED
“Finding Your Roots” is one of those shows that feels like eight hundred other genealogical shows. However, Professor Gates bring a certain degree of charm to the role of host that seems to elevate this show. For those that might think they’ve seen this before, it’s one of two shows that your parents have on when you visit them. Given that this isn’t “American Pickers”, it has to be this. Over the last three or four seasons, Dr. Gates has taken politicians and various degrees of celebrities through their past. Some owned slaves, business, etc. While others just schlepped their way through the centuries until the current generation found fame. You get 10 hours of material here, so forgive the lack of special features.
