FEAR THE WALKING DEAD: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON REVIEWED
“Fear the Walking Dead” returns for a third season. While this show still has more going for it than the original show, it feels super dire. At times, it almost gets exhausting ala the negative vibe of “Day of the Dead”. When you’re a kid, strong men yelling at women and sensitive guys seems funny. Now, you see it for what it is anymore. A bunch of stressed guys trying to make the most of their dwindling resources. No one benefits and you’re left wondering when the last shoe is going to drop.
Efrain and Lola got dispatched in a way that didn’t feel right. Plus, the Proctors seem like they’ve been teased this entire season. I know that long-form planning matters to these shows, but I want them to do something now. The Walking Dead is facing franchise exhaustion across multiple mediums. While Strand remains the break-out character on this show, will it matter if people stop watching? Hopefully, Season Four gets back the energy last seen in Season 2. I know that this show can do it, so let’s hope for the best.
