“Dog Years” is an American film shot on a low budget. Spotlighting two brothers trying to make sense of themselves and what they want to do was impressive. While I enjoy films about people sitting down and sorting out their issues, I can’t call the results that compelling. Shots are rarely broken up and the dialogue doesn’t always impress. It’s a solid one-time rental, but I have a hard time seeing anyone seeking this out multiple times. The DVD comes with no special features.
