CLEOPATRA’S LOST TOMB REVIEWED
“Cleopatra’s Lost Tomb” follows an amateur archaeologist, as she discovers a new city of the dead. Calling it Cleopatra’s Lost Tomb helps to sell it to PBS, but I get the desired effect. Kathleen Martinez is a fascinating figure who is deserving of a documentary dedicated to just her. While we don’t get the kind of conclusion I like to see, it works as an introduction to the greater world of the Ptolemaic Dynasty. Hopefully, we get a follow-up documentary about Martinez’s findings. I’m not holding my breath, but meh.
