This September, Blue Underground is thrilled to announce the world premiere of the cult classic The Million Eyes of Sumuru in a brand-new 4K UHD + Blu-ray edition. Available on September 24th, this release features a pristine 4K restoration from the film’s long-lost original camera negative, now including 10 minutes of additional footage previously missing from all prior releases.
The Million Eyes of Sumuru stars Shirley Eaton (Goldfinger) as the alluring and deadly supervillain Sumuru, whose devious plan for world domination involves assassinating male world leaders and replacing them with her all-female army.
Hot on her trail are a duo of wise-cracking secret agents, Tommy Carter (Frankie Avalon, Back to the Beach) and Nick West (George Nader, Beyond Atlantis), who team up with local authorities to thwart her sinister plot. Directed by Lindsay Shonteff (No. 1 of the Secret Service), the film also features Wilfrid Hyde-White (Chamber of Horrors), Maria Rohm (99 Women), and the legendary Klaus Kinski (Nosferatu the Vampyre) as the President.
The 4K UHD + Blu-ray edition is packed with special features, including brand-new audio commentaries, an all-new feature-length documentary, and a special RiffTrax Edition of The Million Eyes of Sumuru. Fans can also enjoy the original trailer, as well as a poster and still gallery showcasing this iconic slice of 1960s cinema.
