“Apartment Troubles” is a film that looks like it was shot in 14 days. Jess Weixler and Jennifer Prediger are the co-stars, co-directors and co-writers of this seemingly vague vanity piece. They rely on co-stars to help pad out the lack of a central plot. But, damn if it’s not charming to see Will Forte, Megan Mullally and Jeffrey Tambor bring it for indie cinema. It’s just that the main stars don’t really know what to do. Are they in love? Do they hate each other? Are they just gal pals wanting to leave for California? After two viewings of this 78 minute long film, I came up empty. The DVD comes with no special features.
