BLOOD & GLORY: THE CIVIL WAR IN COLOR

“Blood & Glory: The Civil War in Color” is a noble effort on History’s behalf. I appreciate the effort to dig into History by providing colorful detail to the hell of War. I love seeing this sort of thing, as seeing correct flesh tones and war detail make the past come to life. But, I feel like older viewers are going to have to do a lot to make kids care. I’m a softie for this stuff, as I was a 13 year old buying extra VHS tapes from Biggs Hypermarket to tape Memorial Day marathons off of Biography. You get plenty of interviews with descendants and modern Generals discussing the War. But, that’s about it for the special features. The 1080p transfer and DTS-HD 5.1 master audio track are strong enough for the presentation.
