Mystify: Michael Hutchence is the latest documentary about a deceased rock star. Except this time it’s compiled from home footage shot by Hutchence and friends. It’s a unique look at the private life of rock star. However, I sincerely doubt the enjoyment level of casual fans. Let’s check it out.
Mystify is ON BLU-RAY ON MARCH 31ST
For those that aren’t INXS fans, I’d like to give you an entry point. Michael Hutchence was Bono, Axl Rose and Springsteen rolled into one for the Aussie music scene. While he mainly found success in Australia, Japan and Europe, INXS and Hutchence were among the biggest acts there. So, while they were considered in 80s band in America, it’s about time to realize there is an entire world outside of your borders.
Plus, you get a few quick flashes of Kylie Minogue’s ass from her prime years. Dear Lord, Kylie Minogue is the secret weapon of the movie. Her entire section raises up the documentary to a new level, as she frames up the heart of Mystify. Basically, she turns the documentary into a look about how Michael Hutchence ticked.
The Blu-ray comes with featurettes, additional scenes and a trailer as the special features. I’d recommend checking it out.
