“I Believe in Unicorns” is the best film about romance that I’ve seen in 2016. Playing with social media filters and stop-motion allows the film to tell the story of a young girl trapped in her head. While taking care of her disabled mother, our heroine tries to find love and further escape her depressing reality. Davina is a wonderful teenage character that just wants to live her life without acknowledging how much she has lost. The DVD comes with no special features.
