“Home Invasion” is yet another movie about a woman being threatened and then having to protect her home. The film is pretty tame, but it keeps up the intensity throughout the film. It’s just yet another in a long line of DTV films that feel like a carbon copy of things that came before. Jason Patric and Natasha Henstridge hold their own, but the script never feels worthy of them. But, I say that as a “Species” and “Lost Boys” superfan.
The DVD comes with no special features. The A/V Quality is pretty solid for standard definition. The transfer works, but it’s not like there is a ton of scenery. The same goes for the Dolby 5.1 track and its push to keep most things in the front channels. I’d recommend a rental.
