Bang Bang Betty is a typical revenge flick that would have existed as a mid programmer in the 1970s. Now, it feels odd. I just spent the summer covering reviewing a few movies like this, so I wasn’t sure if this was indicative of a comeback.
Kiara is a veteran turned lawyer who is having a rough time after an informant gets murdered. Left for dead, she calls upon her old combat skills to take the fight back to the bad guys. If that sounds cliche, well it is. But, there’s only so many ways you can show messing up bad guys before it gets old.
Still I enjoyed Bang Bang Betty and appreciate having these genre taste cleansers from time to time. It’s a good film for an indie action programmer. Hopefully, you’ll give it a shot.
The Blu-ray comes with the movie alone. In this day an age, asking for special features seems like a bridge too far. What I care about is the 1080p transfer is pretty sharp. Plus, the PCM 2.0 uncompressed studio is strong enough to keep the action and dialogue clean. If that sounds like your sort of thing, you’ll enjoy this hidden treasure.
