The Wonder Years: Season Three
The third season of “The Wonder Years” has Wayne get his driver’s license, a beach trip with the family and the guy from Teen Witch tries to start a band. But, I’ll remember this season for having Teri (Holly Sampson). It’s sad when you remember classic shows by the first time that you realized that some porn stars actually worked on mainstream shows. Hell, she was in “Pump Up the Volume” too.
That’s not to take away from the world building of this season, as Kevin starts to trade heavily into hormone territory. Did I mention Juliette Lewis first started showing up this year? The Apollo 13 episode/tax season stuff remains my favorite episode, but I appreciate the writing when Kevin’s math teacher dies. Who am I kidding, I love the entire series!
The DVD comes with interviews and a bit from the cast reunion as the special features. The A/V Quality works for standard definition. You shouldn’t expect it to blow your hair back. But, the dialogue gets through and that’s what matters. In the end, it’s a purchase for those that didn’t pick up the Complete Series.
