Freestyle Digital Media, a division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group, has secured the North American VOD rights to the darkly comedic psychological thriller Nobody’s Home. The film will be available for rent or purchase across all major digital HD platforms, including internet, cable, and satellite, as well as on DVD, starting September 17, 2024.
About Nobody’s Home
Set in the 1990s, Nobody’s Home follows the twisted and intense journey of Theodora and Luca, two individuals grappling with severe psychological disorders. The story begins as Luca is released from the psychiatric hospital where he and Theodora have spent several years. Theodora, determined to keep Luca under her control, takes him to his childhood home—a place of deep trauma where he witnessed his father murder his mother.
The plot thickens when they discover a dead body in one of the bedrooms. Theodora manipulates the situation, pinning the murder on Luca, claiming he did it while asleep. However, with gaps in the timeline, it’s unclear whether Luca, Theodora, or someone else is the real culprit. The truth remains elusive until the film’s final moments.
The tension escalates when Angelica and Jeremy, a couple high on acid, arrive at the house. Theodora invites them in, turning the situation into a twisted game to test Luca’s loyalty. As the night unfolds, the film explores the dark complexities of toxic relationships, spiraling into a night of manipulation, lies, and fear, where nothing is as it seems.
