“Mortdecai” is a bad movie, if you listen to other people. What we have is Depp trying to create a literary detective that plays with humor to a mature audience. Some of the all-star cast is miscast, but the humor sticks. Hell, it’s one of two amazing movies that Paul Bettany has done this year.Well, movies where Bettany was amazing while the rest film was a slight whiff.
Olivia Munn entertained me and I still find her to be a starbopper that leaps onto any project to get the slightest bit of interest. That is when she’s not functioning as Aaron Rodgers’ beard. It’s a charming movie all around and it’s on a constant loop with “Wet Hot American Summer” this week. The Blu-Ray comes with a Digital HD copy, featurettes and a general sense of whimsy as the special features. The A/V Quality is top notch with a 1080p transfer and DTS-HD 7.1 master audio track that is utterly stunning.
